This weekend’s Step Soulful took place on the slopes of Tenguhara and
Mt. Hakuba Norikura. Our guests were M-san and M-san.
Starting from Tsugaike Nature Park, it took us just one hour to reach Tenguppara. There, we changed from rubber boots into ski boots and headed toward the large open slope directly in front of us.
“Wow... that’s actually pretty steep!”
Looking at the terrain, we started to wonder if our ski setup might be a little too light for the job. So we quickly decided to change plans and head elsewhere.
Our destination became a snow-covered slope one level below Tenguhara.
And as it turned out, this was exactly the paradise slope that suited us
perfectly.
Alright thenーlet’s ski!
As things naturally unfolded, the day turned into a clinic on the Two-Step Turn. I had already put together a page about the Two-Step Turn back in March, so I’ll include it below for reference.
After a safe descent, we quickly changed clothes and immediately launched into our post-ski debriefing session. And, as always, a cold beer at that moment tasted exceptionally good!
In the evening, O-san joined us, and before long we naturally drifted into the night session as well...
It was a truly enjoyable evening. Many thanks to everyone!
