Work fatigue has been piling up since the end of the year.
Today I decided, That’s it-I’m going to sleep all day!
But then the sky cleared up outside.
Blue sky…
Hmm… can’t be helped.
“Just a little bit,” I told myself, and headed to Tsugaike.
The setup was SKYHOY with VOLANT.
Huh? Was it always this heavy??
Yeah… it is heavy.
Still, I love this feeling.
Now then-freshly groomed corduroy is such a pleasure.
I warmed up on Kanenaru slope, where I skied with guests yesterday.
Yeah, feels good.
This is something I often explain at ski school: the Y-axis and the X-axis.
Vertical movement, bending, and so on-basically, I arbitrarily define
the force applied perpendicular to the ski as the Y-axis direction.
People describe it with words like “wighting on the ski” or “flexing
it.”
Then there’s the X-axis direction.
This is hard to express in alpine skiing.
But with a heel-free setup, it’s super easy.
That’s why I use this vector a lot.
“Use it like a knife.”
The X-axis direction.
I think this deserves a lot more attention.
Well… if you do that, the whole method would collapse from the foundations up.
