It's not the dead of winter in November right now, you know. That terrace at Murodo Mountain Lodge is just the best this time of year. There’s a long table out there, and the floor is black, so when the sun hits it, it gets all warm and cozy. Like a natural floor heater?ondol style (haha). And the surrounding area? Walls of snow. Dig into them and you’ve got yourself a fridge?perfect for chilling canned beer or bottles of white wine. This time, some seasoned guests were even chilling veggie sticks and tofu. Respect!
It’s that lively, warm vibe on the ondol terrace that we all look forward to. But of course?goes without saying?you’ve gotta earn it first. You’ve gotta ski before you chill, or else the vibe just doesn’t hit the same. That’s just how it is. Yup, it really is...
Now then, since we’ve got a lot of snow this year, ski tours might still be possible through June. And ski school on the snowfield in front of the lodge? That should go on till early July. This time around, we covered the “authentic kick turn that actually works on steep slopes,” the “trick to jump turns,” and the super-effective “flutter technique.” Honestly, they’re all just things you’ve got to repeat over and over. Do it a million times, and the results will show.
Murodo offers flat terrain and ultra-steep slopes. Snow conditions vary?from flat to vertical ruts to spoon-cut surfaces. There’s no better environment for real-world practice. And to top it off, it’s literally right outside the lodge’s front door. Absolutely amazing.
So yeah, I’m hoping to make it out there a few more times before early July. If you’ve got any requests?don’t hesitate to hit me up!
