It rained. Thank goodness. This will improve the snow conditions of the
fresh snow that fell the other day. Let's go up the mountain! So I took
the forest road to the observation deck at Tsugaike Nature Park. I used
XPLORE. I walked with only step cuts. Come to think of it, I think I got
there in an hour last time too? I checked the time this time to confirm.
9:20 Ski Resort TOP - 9:50 Tsugaike Nature Park entrance - 10:20 Observation
terrace. It was an hour after all. From the outside, it may look like a
pretty fast pace, but I wasn't out of breath at all. I wonder why I'm panting
when I put on ski skins, even though I'm going slow? ? So, the usual spectacular
view from the observation terrace. At the same time, I checked the snow
for a while to head to various places from May onwards. It is. Please refer
to the photo above. Well, the snow quality is just before film crust, that's
it. Completely different from 4/18, the white parts were sparkling and
it was easy to ski. A breeze! I skied down two runs and was very satisfied.
On the way back I was able to ski smoothly without any particular tension.
From the nature park I skied through the forest below the ropeway and was
all done. There was no stream at all. There was a lot of snow after all.
I took the gondola down the mountain. Then I noticed that the cherry blossoms
at the boarding point were starting to bloom. Yay, the cherry blossoms
are blooming at Tsugaike too! April 21, 2025 Postscript: I left home at
8:40 and returned home at 12:00.
